We offer services on old machines and stations where, along with the customer, we diagnose problem issues and address them. This may involve remedial work to existing parts and spares or we design and produce new components and systems Gusset Station - With the recent gusset station the development work began with an initial objective from the customer to improve the way the polythene was fed into the machine
- With the input decided we went about producing new collapsing boards to replace the previous design - this involved a bank of plastic rollers on each board as opposed to the plastic panels of it's predecessor
- The triangle wooden boards that create the gusset were switched for UHMW polyethylene
- We produced 4 rubber covered rollers, one of which was driven by a right angled gear motor - 2.2kw through an invertor variable speed drive
- To finish we mounted 2 new control units onto the station - the first for the pneumatic controls to open and close the top rollers when feeding in new material and the second for start up and speed control on the drive
